There must be a monopoly on this product, because the price for these disposable tubes is outrageous. These are one mini keg, and done. Really irritated that I can't find copy cat product elsewhere. Also, the tubes are longer than they should be, still trying to figure that one out. If you are the only company able to make these cheap plastic tubes, you would think that they would fit perfectly. Not so much.

I find it very difficult to believe that they can't make these tubes renewable--at least enough so to give you two or three uses per tube. I'm sure the total cost of keg and tube is more than the cost of an equivalent number of bottles. The beer tastes great, but there's absolutely no value here. I sure would love to know how many of the reviews which mention how reasonable the price is are from an online marketing firm hired by the manufacturer to buy the product and write the review.

This 6 pack of tubes is really a lot better than the ones that came with my Krups BeerTender.
The are nicely individually wrapped so each one is fresh and clean for use. They are a little shorter than the original ones, so there's almost no need to bend the tube (Still needs a little bending though).

I even loved the amount, since 6 should last a few months ;)

Bought this as a gift for my son who is a Heineken lover. He loves it as it keeps his beer very cold and saves space in the refrigerator (no bottles anymore). He also figured he is saving $$ by buying the mini-kegs instead of bottles.(no bottle fee and no recycling fee). He also loved the gauges that tell him when keg is almost empty and temp of the minikeg.

One thing is you must refrigerate the minikeg for 24 hours prior to putting it in the BeerTender.

When the Beertender first came out replacement tubes were about $1 a piece. I bought my Beertender and bought an additional 30 replacement tubes to support what was then an outstanding product. After going through the Beer tubes i went on line to order more and found that the price increased by approximately 50%. Needless to say, the Beertender is no longer in use; why use it when the mini-keg comes with its own tap. Another good reason to stop using your beertender is that you are not restricted to just Heineken and New Castle beer.

We have a Beertender and it's like having a bar at home. The taste is just like in Amsterdam!
The Tubes are hard to come by... we use to get them at a local store but they stop carrying this item.
To be able to get them here is fantastic! will keep buying ... will keep drinking Heineken!

It's a shame you have to spend so much money on these things so frequently, but at least you can get them on Amazon at a decent price. You can try to recycle them for a few times, but trust me, beer not only pours better, but tastes better with fresh tubes. Spend the dough and buy new ones...save a couple bucks through Amazon...and enjoy your brew!

Bought this as a gift for my son who is a Heineken lover. He loves it as it keeps his beer very cold and saves space in the refrigerator (no bottles anymore). He also figured he is saving $$ by buying the mini-kegs instead of bottles.(no bottle fee and no recycling fee). He also loved the gauges that tell him when keg is almost empty and temp of the minikeg.

One thing is you must refrigerate the minikeg for 24 hours prior to putting it in the BeerTender.

Got these recently. I like their new design, but I suspect that these new tubes are not as sturdy as the ones with the original design. Had an interesting mishap the other day in which the tube sprang a leak and almost lost half of a BeerTender sprayed all over my kitchen. Still, they seem to get the job done and that may have been an isolated event. Time will tell...

Price Increase Make Beertender a dumb idea. John C #02-14-2011

When the Beertender first came out replacement tubes were about $1 a piece. I bought my Beertender and bought an additional 30 replacement tubes to support what was then an outstanding product. After going through the Beer tubes i went on line to order more and found that the price increased by approximately 50%. Needless to say, the Beertender is no longer in use; why use it when the mini-keg comes with its own tap. Another good reason to stop using your beertender is that you are not restricted to just Heineken and New Castle beer.

I was forced to buy these because Sur la Table sent the Beer Keg Refrigerator with taps that caused the keg to leak around the discharge valve. These tubes just plain cause the beer to leak into the refrigerator... Overall poor design and production between keg and tube. Product is not ready for prime time...
